Qualification Scenarios
For both teams, the scenario is pretty simple: win and hope for some help. With a all the teams in Group A on three points the hope for Palestine is that they end up top of the group on six points. Failing to top the group, Palestine will be pulling for Lebanon to send Kuwait bottom, thus eliminating Palestine’s 2-1 loss and giving Al-Fursan an inside track for the best runner’s up spot.
A draw would benefit Oman who would top the group as long as the Kuwait-Lebanon match does not produce a winner. Palestine could only advance as the best runner up with a four point total- which would necessitate a draw a low scoring draw between Lebanon and Kuwait. If Palestine ends up in second place, fans should root for the following results:

Jamal Mahmoud and Paul Le Guen both made four changes to their starting lineups after their respective opening day losses to Kuwait and Lebanon. More rotations are guaranteed ahead of his game. Ramzi Saleh has returned from Egypt and he will take over from Mohammed Shbair who played well in his absence (Shbair injured his groin muscle as well). Ashraf Nu’man is in a race against time to get healthy for this game but may only play a role off the bench.
Expect Paul Le Guen to stick with 19 year old Mazin Al-Kasbi who preformed remarkably well against Kuwait. There is a good chance that the Frenchman makes a couple of more changes but the nature of how Oman- fast counters with a deep back line will stay the same.
