Palestine captain Bahdari joins Tala’ea El-Geish

Bahdari will join his fourth club in as many years

After a glut of rumors, Abdelatif Bahdari has found himself a new home. The 32 year old centre back will join Egyptian Premier League side Tala’ea El-Geish on a one year deal it was announced yesterday.

Financial details of the contract were not disclosed but it had been rumored that one of Bahdari’s former clubs- Wehdat had tabled a $50,000/year offer which fell well short of the player’s demands (rumored to be closer to the $80,000/year he was on with Shabab Al-Khalil).

Bahdari will join former Palestine captain Ramzi Saleh in the Egyptian league. Former Palestinian players to play in the league include Mohammed Samara (teammate to both Mohammed Salah and Mohammed Al-Neny at Arab Contractors), Eyad Abou El-Khair, & the Al-Ahly goalkeeping legend from the 1960s Marwan Kanafani.

Tala’ea El-Geish currently lie in 12th place in the Egyptian league withe one match day remaining.
