Confirmed: Palestine to face Lebanon next month

Tamburrini in last year’s friendly vs. Lebanon.

According multiple sources and now confirmed by FIFA. Palestine will face off against neighbors Lebanon on Lebanese soil next month. Murmurs of a friendly match between the two West Asian sides started making the rounds last week and the match now appears on FIFA’s website.

The two sides last met in August of last year and played out a stale goalless draw with Matias Jadue missing a chance to give Palestine a late win. That match saw the debuts of national team regulars Jonathan Cantillana and Amir Abu Nahya (9 goals between them since then).
Palestine’s record vs. Lebanon stands at 1-1-1 since readmission to FIFA in 1998.
The exact location- last year’s match was held in Sidon- and kickoff time have yet to be announced.
