Transfer News: Ramzi Saleh completes shock transfer to Al-Merreikh

“The weather is lovely here.” Ramzi Saleh expresses his love for all things Sudanese.
After months of speculation, Ramzi Saleh has finally left Egypt’s Al-Ahly and has joined Al-Merreikh on a free transfer. This despite various formal offers from Egyptian club Ittihad Alexandria (Last week it seemed he was to be included in a swap deal for ACN 2010 Golden Boot winner Gedo), Zamalek, and Saudi powerhouse Al-Hilal. Ramzi Saleh said that despite the interest from other clubs he had given President Jamal Al-Wali his word and wanted to stay true to his promises. And if you believe everything Atlas Sport prints… Ramzi wants Sudanese citizenship and thinks Omar Al-Bashir is a swell guy.
In more uplifting news Fahed Attal has joined Jordanian Cup Champions Wehdat on a one-year $50,000 contract.
