Preview: Palestine v. Syria (Friendly, Part II)

Ashraf’s Return?

What: International Friendly
When: November 20th, 2012
Where: Prince Mohammed Stadium, Zarqa, Amman, Jordan
Kickoff: 1400 GMT

TV/Streams: Much like the first game, expect a blackout. Unfortunately, I will not be headed to the game but will do my best to keep everyone updated.

Line-up Reshuffle?

In Sunday’s friendly, Jamal Mahmoud gave minutes to every player with the exception of backup goalkeeper Mohammed Shbair and the still recovering Fahed Attal. I would expect Shbair to start this game or at least see 45 minutes of action. On the other side of the pitch, Khaldoun Al-Halman should get the start ahead of Eyad Abugharqud.

While Palestine’s lineup might be tweaked the Syrians could field a completely changed starting eleven. The manner in which substitutions were managed (only three were used) on Sunday seems to suggest that Hussam Al-Sayed wants to simulate competitive scenarios instead of tinker in search of better tandems.

Reinforcements?

The (unconfirmed) news that is currently making the rounds is that Ashraf Nu’man will be available for this match. If that is the case, expect to see him to take Amjad Zidan’s place in the line-up.
