Palestine to face Kuwait and Jordan ahead of WAFF Championship

The PFA announced via their official website that the national team will participate in two friendlies during their pre-WAFF Championship.

Originally, there had been murmurs about a match against Bahrain but it seems that the Bahraini FA changed their minds which prompted the PFA to organize a friendly with Jordan instead.

The last official friendly between Jordan and Palestine was the famous game in Al-Ram back in 2008. That match ended 1-1; the two teams have met twice since then with both results ending 4-1 in favor of the Nashama.

Palestine have met Kuwait twice in the last twelve months and experienced a similar fate on both occasions- giving up two early goals en route to a pair of 2-1 losses. Ashraf Nu’man scored in both games against Kuwait.

Palestine are set to play Kuwait first on the 19th of December before squaring off against Jordan on the 21st. The national team will depart Dubai on the 22nd for Doha to take part in the WAFF Championship opener on Christmas Day.
